TACKLING FOOD INSECURITY VIA

ACT for Hunger

Access to nutritious food is a fundamental human right, yet millions of people around the world struggle with food insecurity every day.
ACT Foundation Sri Lanka has taken it upon itself to address this issue head-on through its Community Kitchens and School Nutritional Meal Program

As of April 2024, ACT has served more than 93,500 cooked lunches to struggling people across Sri Lanka. The demand for food services has drastically increased over the past year, and we realised that this food is the only meal of the day and a lifeline for some.

These initiatives aim to provide essential sustenance to vulnerable communities, particularly children.
We focus on serving children with nutritious hot meals throughout the school year. Every month, we serve 6,000 lunches in Sri Lanka to children and needy people.
By serving hot, wholesome meals, the foundation nourishes young minds and ensures that children have the energy and focus they need to excel in their studies.
